Alesna inaugurates new school building

UBAY - IT IS the only of its kind in Ubay, particularly in the depressed barangay of Hambabaruan.

Mayor Manuel Alesna inaugurated the Hambabauran Elementary School-a P1.7 million 3-classroom building donated by Coca Cola Foundation Philippines Inc.
The mayor congratulated the barangay officials and residents of Hambabauran for having been chosen as recipient of a modern school building equipped with toilets for each classroom, plastic armchairs, teacher's and pupil's tables, flagpole, blackboard for multi-grade teaching, water facilities and electrical lighting for each room.
Alesna urged the residents to be grateful to the Coca-Cola Foundations Philippines Inc. and the Philippine Business for Social Progress for the "Little Red School House," the first and only in Bohol and the 31st in the whole country, so far.
Also present during the turn-over and inauguration were education officials from the District of Bohol led by schools division superintendent Cerina Bolos, schools district supervisor of Ubay Clarita Alesna, and members of the district administrative staff.
Servando Abaya Jr., Ramon Dumadag and personnel of the Coca-Cola plant in Tagbilaran City represented the foundation, the donor of the "Little Red School House." (NOL CUTAMORA)
