New LAMP tries to shape up
The administration group of the Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) starts to explore a merger with the group of Gov. Rene Relampagos, which has bolted from the administration LAMP to join the united opposition.
The proposal was known when former Customs Collector Doroteo "Boy" Toledo, Jr., presided the first meeting of town mayors last Thursday at the Bohol Plaza Resort in Dauis.
Toledo who is the father of Press Secretary Mike Toledo, convened the political meeting after his elder brother, former BIR Commissioner Tommy Toledo was appointed as the provincial head of the Estrada-backed PMP here in Bohol.
