Every year some Filipinos gather in this festval held in Tampa ,Florida..This year April 8,9,10.There's some exhibits, dancing,eating etc.It is fun.May mga payag payag ginatukod for some province.Like Bohol every year they have a hut and they sell food speciality Bol-anon dish.So we met some Boholanos.
It is only an hour or so driving from where I live...Me and my friends hopefully Wolfie can go,we try to taste different Filipino native delicacies from other Provinces.Wolfie always looks for "Dinuguan."

I visited Hannover Messe and saw lots of modern high tech machines, nano tech, lightweight materials for making planes and boats. India, Taiwan, Pakistan and China steel products are also on display.

Trying out my 'green' thumb.

So far, babycakes and I bought 8 different plants this weekend. Yucca plant, money tree, basil, thyme, mint, bamboo plants and more.
It's quite stress-relieving, actually. The planting-aspect.

Filling up surgical consultation paper work is a pain in the arse. Anyways, the highlight of the day was assisting in a tracheotomy and in laparoscopic surgery today. Exciting.

I love surgery. The hours are not as long and work is not as repetitive as my last Internal Medicine Rotation.

I just found out that I have to do a 10 minute presentation on the Integumentary System this Friday. I'm presenting for a group of nursing students who asked me to teach more information on the Integumentary System-- particularly more so on disease pathology.

So I have to prepare some slides later today on power point for the presentation.

I am very happy to increase the breadth of nursing students' understanding of the integumentary system as what is taught in their curriculum. I actually approve of Medical Doctors/ Medical Interns role in further educating nursing staff on the body so as to increase the allied health professionals understanding. Team Orientation gud ta diri.

PS. I am being reimbursed for this so i'm also happy pood. haha

I talked to my mother today. So my sister graduates her 2nd year this summer and is going back to Bohol with my mom for a month or so.
Lipay ko kaayo kai hapit na human ahong igsoon baji. Our dream of starting a Family-Owned Multi-Specialty Clinic is an inspiration for both of us. We also have to make sure to care for our 2 younger brothers when we are done. I particulary want to reduce the economic burden that is on my parents. I realize that being a doctor is quite hectic really. Professional requirements and then there are the personal requirements that lay on one's mind.

The financial burden of sending 2 children to medical school and then supporting them financially and emotionally is quite enormous. I am so very lucky to have such gracious parents. I can never forget about their sacrifices. Never.

Hi Aspo, so nice to see that you also like bamboo plants! My gf's father actually was the one who bought that for me and the money tree. He was the one that helped decorate our apartment with plants and other greeneries.

Whenever the lady and I cook , we usually use alot of spices: thyme, rosemarie, basil, lemon grass etc. So, Tito decided to buy us some green plants and instructed us to take care of them. This way, now we have green plants and a reserve of spices. hehe.

Bugnaw tan-awon ang balay ug naay green plants. I feel as if the place is warmer and peaceful with plants.

Ning ongon pood si Tito, "Toto, you are from Bohol, madamo sang tanum sa Bohol. Lantawi haw?"

I finished filling up my employment information today. So it is official. Aside from being a medical intern, I'm a part time college instructor at Northwestern University. I'm teaching 2 classes : 1) Medical Terminology and 2) Basic EKG.

Building up my CV. I'd like to , in the future, teach as a medical professor someday. Starting it slowly ....
