I visited an old friend in the care home.  It didn't alleviate my sadness because it's always depressing to see old parents and grandparents just being dumped in the care home but it's okay because I made an old woman happy.  To see her face lit up to see me and still remember my name even if she has advanced dementia were priceless.

Tiya i always believe, making them happy is daku ang credit sa Ginoo!

Thanks, Dong and Maring.  As a friend said, gapalakas daw ko sa Lord. I actually didn't think about that.  In this world, I have nothing much to give but love especially to those "forgotten" people.

Earlier this morning, I went to the 6:30 AM morning mass in St. Mary's Church.

It was a long time since I went to such an early morning mass, but I had an urge to just go to church today.

Upon entering church, naka kita ko that I was probably one of the youngest persons in the church at that moment; most of the sacristant celebrants were elderly citizens. It hit me how much faith these individuals had; even in their old age.

It feels so good to go to church. I felt as if a great weight was removed from my shoulders; could breath better, and most of all a good peace of mind.

So I remind you all, brothers and sisters, don't forget to visit church, okay?

attended a park party with the Visayan Association of Sacramento.  To my surprise, daghan Tagalog.  I asked one lady why.  Ingon, those are friends of the Visayans! hehehe I had fun.  Food was good!  We also played Bingo - my first ever play of BINGO.  Dali ra man diay but wa jud ko kadaog!

4 yrs ang iya dong kay d man tanan subject iyang gikuha naghinayhinay siya kay trabaho man gud pod siya everyday of the week. kapoy baya pod ang iyang role sa trabahuan kay chemist unya mag research pa pod looy gani ko niya, pero saon gusto man jud nga maduha ang iyang course, daan pa jud na siya sa bata pa gustong mag lawyer.

Unya dong pila man ka yrs ang doctor ha, you will be doctor before you knew it wow.. again gud luck.

For me, Tita, the M.D program is 4 years, but an additional 2 years will be added for the completion of the Ph.D dual. So in all around 6 years. More years of demanding study and review is ahead.

OT: Most of my colleagues in undergrad are either starting their first year in Medicine or their Ph.D doctoral studies; I have 2 friends who are pursing their doctoral degrees in Organic Chemistry; one who is going into Physics, four who are going into biochemistry/molecular. Two who are going into Law proper and one very good friend who is pursuing a career in theater. Reading your post, Tita, reminded me of our last conversations we had with one another back in May. And it just hit me that we won't be finished with our studies until we're all old. hahaha. As in nearing 30 years haha.

O I do hope that most of them will be able to keep in contact; and keep our friendships intact. One can only hope, specially in our ever-changing and spontaneous world that we live in.
