The importance of scut work. For those who don't know what scut work is, it's basically the bullshitt work that interns have to complete throughout the duration of the clerkships. Scut works can include, but are not limited to: performing patient histories, rectal exams, stool sampling, printing papers for chief resident, lending pens (and expect it to never be returned), giving food, buying food, and the like.
Scut work. Its definitely something that I'm not too fond of but unfortunately find myself doing. ah. who actually likes scut work anyways?
