Regards from Wyoming, USA
« on: July 01, 2012, 01:20:25 PM »
Greetings Guys,

I just want to say hello and extend my regards to everyone in the board! Right now, I am here with my family in the town of Sundance, of the great state of Wyoming, USA. We have been driving since 3 AM Friday. We are driving to the Yellowstone National Park, USA. We've just stopped for the night at the Best Western Hotel here in Sundance; we should be heading out tomorrow morning at 7 AM. We have another some 500 miles left to go ! We've driven already some 950 miles (our starting point was at Chicago, Illinois, USA).

This trip has allowed me to see the full breadth of the beauty of the United States, not just from the city perspective, but at the rural, the geographical perspective, appreciating the expansive farm land of the "breadbasket" region of the midwest, the rolling prairie fields of Minnesota, South Dakota and here in Wyoming ! Wow, guys, its so beautiful. I will post pictures here of my family's trip later on.

Today, we were able to visit Mount Rushmore National Park in South Dakota. Simply amazing! Tomorrow, we are to visit Devil's Tower in Wyoming, which is a historical site here in Wyoming (it was home to the Native American Resistance fighters during the Great Indian Wars of the late 19th century).

I hope you all are doing well, and know that I am thinking of you all as I am here with my family. It really is so beautiful.

Love and Regards,
Bran Lorenzo

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

It was an incredible experience, Fr. Roel, I will share my experiences through pictures. We traveled over 1,500 miles , of which my father and I took turns in driving.

Isles,

I wish i could have taken you with us during our drive across America. You would have loved the scenary-- from flat grasslands, to rolling prairie lands, to the rocky mountain landscape, to the evergreens of northwestern Wyoming.

We were able to also visit towns such as Sundance (named after the Sundance Kid), Buffalo (named after the famous Buffalo Bill), and other historically accurate towns.

I also relished the time I had with my father, driving with him and acting as his co pilot and he likewise when I took control of the wheel-- was quite endearing for me. T'was reminiscent of the days of my youth when my parents used to take us kids to family trips that usually entailed long drives.

I've taken a lot of pictures of our drive; I will post more when I get enough time. :)

he he, i requested my siblings to do a silly pose , and they decided to do this instead, lol. It was actually cold in Yellowstone National Park. The temperature in Chicago was at 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 centigrade), while in Yellowstone it was some 55 degrees Fahrenheit (12 centigrade) in the morning and some 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4 centigrade) in the evening !

Bugnaw gajod ! You can actually see that there were still some snow on the mountain tops. Quite a sight during the middle of July.
