I have always said in my signature in
www.tubagbohol.mikeligalig.com that "I speak only when I cannot improve the silence." Now, this is a follow-up rant to my earlier bulletin, "Common Sense Is No Longer Common."
Edmund Burke once said that "evil triumphs because good men do nothing." What I feel now is that if I don't react to the proliferation of "PLEEEEEASE READ!!!! it was on the news! ASAP.. Hello!" and all this b***, it is as if I condone the ignorance of our friends. Enough is enough. Too much is too much. My inbox is infested with "PLEEEEEASE READ!!!! it was on the news! ASAP.. Hello!"
You may get mad at me but I need to tell you this, otherwise this would become a vicious cycle, that by forwarding "PLEEEEEASE READ!!!! it was on the news! ASAP.. Hello!]" or "Allen, manager of Friendster," you are allowing others to know that you've lost your common sense.
This is the problem to many of us. We don't investigate. We don't dig deeper. We don't ask questions. We don't seek enlightenment. We don't research. Whatever b*** [PLEEEEEASE READ!!!! it was on the news! ASAP.. Hello!] that is being sent to us, we immediately forward it to the rest of humanity without first investigating the authenticity of what seemed factual.
The Internet has given us an unlimited supply of information but we are still wallowing in darkness and ignorance. This b*** proliferation of [PLEEEEEASE READ!!!! it was on the news! ASAP.. Hello!] simply tells us the decadence of human reasoning.
Forgive me, I'm using 'b***' here because I am already angry. I am not angry at you but I am mad at your lack of common sense and logical reasoning.
You can flood my friendster inbox with words from Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Leo Tolstoy, who else, but please, don't give Friendster a terrible headache, endlessly cleaning up its servers because you keep forwarding a b*** [PLEEEEEASE READ!!!! it was on the news! ASAP.. Hello!].
Common Sense is no longer common these days. I weep for humanity.
