bem, sa imong job description that belongs to "others". hehehe i think di na sya against the law but if you have valid reasons to not report for overtime work, then i think that's another story na i.e., you are sick or you are out of town, etc.

Depende sa nature sa company ug depende pod sa imong profession. Kung ang company is a powerplant or production company, ilang i-apil ang mandatory overtime sa contract signing kay dili man kalikayan ang machine maintenance or breakdown.

Kung Doctor or medical field ang imong profession, mandatory ang overtime, bisan walay bayad basta call of duty. Mao pod ni sa Army & Dissaster brigade.

Ang importante ani nga issue kung in accordance ba sa law ang gihatag nga compensation which is double pay sa imong normal rate.

Macks, korek jud.  Depende sa nature sa imong work/profession and everything should be spelled out in our terms of reference or job description, or job order, as you call it.

dili man siguro automatic double pay ang mag overtime.  Naay graduated rate ana.  Kadtong sa amo sa una, if 4 hours ka mag overtime, 125% if less than 4 hours and over that entitled na sa meal allowance, over and above the remuneration of 130%.  Mag double lang if Sundays and legal holidays.

Unsa man sa inyong policy, Bem?

So importante nga basahon ang contract before mo perma.

Hello Macks!  Okay lang ko.  Thanks!  I hope you are all ok too.

Bitaw, double ang rate if the overtime falls during holidays.  Pero naay offices sa atoa na if officer ka na, you are not entitled to overtime pay except for meals and transportation allowance.

Anyway, going back sa question ni Bembem, mao na, dapat basahon sa ang job contract pero mo pirma.  But if we are badly searching for a job, pirma na lang ta basta lang makatrabaho na.
