Your Siquijor photos are... bewitching, enchanting, spell-binding, pero di man siguro tinuod ang barang.

You have a third eye that sees the extraordinary in the mundane.

In so many ways, photography really, like poetry, is seeing the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary :)

hahhaha. I changed it na. I remember, sometime last year, an art film that had Siquijor as the locale, got the ire of the local government after it blatantly featured the province as the land  of mambabarang :)

The same level of misconceptions people had had about Bohol.

In the late 90s, whist in college, if one mentioned Bohol, many classmates would think that Bohol is all Chocolate Hills and Boholanos are all naive nga ilad ilarun lang ug taxi. Ituyuk tuyuk sa Cebu. Nga ang mga household staff nga Bol-anon kung dili pauliun sa amo kung Mayo kay fiesta, mo resign jud para lang makauli.

But now, it's totally changed. They only have good things to say about Bohol.

The only downside is the EXPENSIVE hotel rates. They say more expensive than the rates in Bali and Phuket which really discourages many tourists to linger.

In so many ways, I'm proud to be a Boholano.

Siquijor looks beautiful.

The island is so small, can't they just be assimilated into the jurisdiction of Bohol?

Why did they separate?

the time when many places wanted to become a town or province. 1950s or 60s i think...
