My favorite are the Beatitudes. Why I love it? Because it is self explanatory, and its words emanates the Glory of God. His Love. His Compassion.  His Justice. His Forgiveness. His Laws.

The Beatitudes:
Matthew 5:3   "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.{Isaiah 57:15; 66:2}
4   Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.{Isaiah 61:2; 66:10,13}
5   Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.{or, land. Psalm 37:11}
6   Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
7   Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
8   Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
9   Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
10   Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
11   "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Mine is John 3:16:  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life."


This verse embodies God's love to us all.  He sacrificed his own son so that we may be saved.  We should take it!
