In many cultures, the birthday of every person merits a celebration. Family and friends gather to wish the "birthday child" many happy returns. There are well-wishing, balloons, cards, cakes, candles, a favorite meal, there are gifts and jests--all the things that say, at least once a year, "You are special, there's only one of you, we are happy that you exist." So, it is for the people of God and Mary.

Nine years ago(9) nakadawat ko sa letter nga naa ang magazine nga tua ang name ug address sa akong bana. Year after which is eight(8) years ago gikasal mi sa akong bana. Memorable gyud ni nako kaayo nga adlaw.

She is not only the mother of the apostles, and of the early church, but she is the mother of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ of Bethlehem.

The mother of the Word Made Flesh
Mother of the Alpha and the Omega.
The Mother of God.
