1 Kings 19: 9, 11 - 13

9     And there he came to a cave, and lodged there; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said to him, "What are you doing here, Eli'jah?"
11    And he said, "Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD." And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake;
12    and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
13    And when Eli'jah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Eli'jah?"

Exodus 20:22 (New International Version)

" Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites this: 'You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven ".

Amen, Brown! Amen!

This morning as I was reading 1st Kings, I read through that particular passage and wept after reading it.

Why? Because of the gentle and loving nature sa Ginoo. Prophet Elijah was besieged with powerful winds, and powerful fires. Pero ang Ginoo was not in those natural events. Ang Ginoo intawn came to Prophet Elijah as a small whisper.

Powerful when he has to be, but can be gentle enough to whisper to a man.

Blessed be God, and Blessed be His Most Glorious Name! Now and Forever.

This particular verse always manages to make me cry.
Why?
Because it reminds me of the gentle nature and the Loving words of Our Lord.

He came to Elijah and spoke to him in a whisper.
A gentle whisper.
