THE DRAGON ON THE SEA SHORE
"The Dragon (Satan) stood on the sand of the sea shore". That is how Rev. 13 begins. This is how it continues: "And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads..."
In Book of Genesis 22:17 we read about God’s promise to Abraham:
“…indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand, which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies”.
We see here that Abraham’s seed, the People of God, are compared here to the sand on the shore. Yet, Revelation 13:1 temporarily places the Dragon on top of that sand. This signifies that there will be a time when the dragon will exercise dominion over God’s people. We must not be surpised, but know that Dragon's time to dominate our lives is temporary (click here for more).
