The catholic faith here in Germany is being rocked with human and sexual abuses committed by priests and lay persons working in institutions like boarding schools.  Even the brother of Pope Benedict, Georg Ratzinger , priest and Choir master of the world famous Regensburg boys choir, admitted his fault on slapping boys during rehearsals ( he is known for his rascible temper).  The catholics are waiting to hear some statements from the Holy See but the German Bishops Conference defended him, saying the wrongdoings was done in Germany so they are responsible to investigate about the whole affair. They also added that they are asking forgiveness and willing to pay damages ( financial) to the victims.

speaking of kuto, can we scalp everyone because of some lice teeming in one head?  such analogy fits what some of us (especially the media) do when human behavior egged only by political and economic considerations is equated with religion.  muslim terrorists?  irish catholic bombers?  not fair.  such examples imply that there are no peace-loving muslims and irish catholics, who are the majority.  these are the kinds of descriptions that unwittingly encourage discrimination.

This reminds me of a joke:

Fergus was walking down the street in Northern Ireland. Suddenly a man in a balaclava carrying an AK-47 drags him into an alley and demands:

"Are you Catholic or Protestant?"

Fergus has no idea what the "right" answer is, so he decides to try to be clever.

"I'm neither," he replies, "I'm Jewish."

To which his attacker says: "Ah, I must be the luckiest Arab in all of Belfast."
