The Blessed Eucharist

Paul adds immediately: "Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup"
(1 Cor 11.27-28).

St. Paul teaches: "As often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes"
(1 Cor 11.26).

It follows that only those who have made the baptismal commitment of faith and are faithful to it may share fully in the Eucharist by receiving Holy Communion.

Pa sagdi na lang siya, Buwad.

Kaning mga Catholic tawo, we are called to faith kai we are called in the Spirit and in Faith. Ug gusto ang tawo mo leave sa Catholic Faith, let him do it as it is his decision.

Perhaps your friend finds more solace in biblical reading. And there is absolutely nothing wrong in focusing more in biblical adoration, as it is afterall, the Word of God.

We must not impress our faith on others forcibly if they have chosen to take another path toward The Lord.

As for myself, I have shared many conversations with Baptists, Methodists, Orthodox Christians, Coptics, Evangelical Born-Agains. We are all the same, pare, as we are all Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

The language may be different, and the manner of prayer may differ, but we are praying directly to the same Almighty Creator.

Given, we catholics are a bit more conservative than most; as we adore not only the Blessed Sacred Scripture but also hold true to our hearts Sacred Tradition, which has been passed unto the Ages since time immemorial of the Early Church Fathers. We pray, as Catholics, as the First Christians did.

There may be differences between us and other Christians, but we have so much more in common than we are different. Let us dwell in our similarities and our common Love and Faith in Christ. And let us not linger on the things that divides us, as it is what the Devil wants. Brothers fighting against brother. Let us not loose the sight of the clear picture and the Goal. Which is Christ Jesus.

Brother Buwad, remember this beautiful verse from scripture and keep it in your heart.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

1 Corinthians 10:16-17

We are all One in Christ Jesus.

My prayers are with your friend; that you friend is continued to be justified by Faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Despite his or her manner of worship.
