Religion Test
« on: February 09, 2010, 12:32:03 PM »
Hala daw beh take daw mo ani nga test ug unsa jud ang pinakaclose nga religious belief. It is a test that asks about your beliefs and how important they are and then tells you what faith you are closest to. I've just wondered how close it really can be. It takes 15-20 minutes. Post your results if you like.
Na shock ko pag ayo sa akong result.Click the link

Hahahahaha. Bitaw Te kay ang Eastern Orthodox ang conservative kay sa Catholic pero the same belief ra gihapon ni sila sa leadership lamang nagkalahi. ;D

Unsa man pud nang Quaker Te? Catholic gihapon na sila ug belief o entirely different na gajud?

This Christian denomination is also known as:The Religious Society of Friends, Vince. This Christian Protestant Denomination started in the mid 17th century and since its inception maintained an non-conformist ideology. It is a Christian Body. The center and sole precept of Quakerism is Jesus Christ. First and Foremost. They recognize Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The beauty of this denomination is that they implement faith through what they call as "spirituality in action."

They manifest this by upholding 4 tenents of their Faith in Jesus Christ:

1. Peace
2. Equality
3. Integrity
4. Simplicity

A well known Quaker, Mr. Robert Barcley once said, ""are only a declaration of the fountain, and not the fountain itself, therefore they are not to be esteemed the principal ground of all Truth and knowledge, nor yet the adequate primary rule of faith and manners."

Quakers are liberal protestants in that they reject the Lutheran/ mainstream Protestant notion of "Sola Scriptura."

The Quakers, in a way, have similarity to the Catholics and Orthodox Christians in that Salvation for them is in Jesus Christ. However, Christ offers salvation, but to be saved one needs to accept Christ as Lord and Savior, and also a prequisite is to live and perform faith in one's daily actions. As the saying goes, "Actions speak louder than words."

The Quakers reject most of the modern comforts. They choose to live a simple agrarian, carpenter-like lifestyle.
Honest means and Honest Living.

My parents order everything, from our dining table, to our family table, to our fireplace's wooden frame and to our furniture etc from the Amish and the Quakers. They are very good craftsmen. The furniture that they make lasts and is durable; handmade and worth every penny. Its expensive, but it is worth the investment.

Our German Sheppard, Kaiser Wilhelm Salvo Lucino "KAISER", is also from the Amish. We drove to Shippensburg, Pennsylvania back in 2004 to get him. He was at the time only 7 weeks old. And he was already a big furball. lol. Concidentally, there was a large Amish and Quaker population in that region of Pennsylvania.

Kaiser's father, Adam, was a large German Sheppard, powerful and was the sole sheppard that kept some 20+ sheep in line. ha ha ha.

I complemented one Amish man for his excellence in furniture making. For being a good carpenter.
He replied with a smile, "Yes, we try to be good. Being a carpenter is the best profession. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, was also a carpenter."

He smiled and got back to work.

I was brought to smile with that comment. Indeed, he is right. Jesus Christ who is Lord was a carpenter. And his earthly father, Joseph, was, too, a carpenter.

:)

Buutan bitaw sila jamo.

During my tenure in Allegheny College, I would hit through Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, which is a strong Amish Community. I would always take care to see the sights; the rolling farmlands. These people farm their land the old way. With horse. Danish Horses, he he he.

One has to take care in driving the roads since the Amish utilize horse drawn carriage for transport.

Good people. They always wave.
