Reading the Bible and Reading a Novel
« on: February 26, 2009, 09:52:31 AM »
Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel or ZANE GREY book?

The Holy Bible solidifies Sacred Tradition. The one complements the other. When we go to mass, when we take part of the Sacraments, it is all correlated in verse in Scriptures. Scripture also is strengthened and its message solidifed in Sacred Tradition. One in which The Holy Roman Catholic Church has tookpart since the very beginning. Since days of Early Church Fathers. Since before the Holy Bible was compiled.

That is why Sacred Scripture solidifies and complements Sacred Tradition.

The bible is life for the soul, and blood and meat for the marrow of bone. I read it, whenever I have time. When I have a hard day, I go straight to the Psalms. David's words are beautiful prayers.
