Morning

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

“Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law . . . to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”—Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.—Abstain from every form of evil.

“As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ . . . Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”

Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.—“Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes.”
