In Judaism, as is in Christianity, the power of God to resurrect is celebrated. God is able to do that which is impossible for mere humans. However, His desire to bless is not of much use to Israel, if He would be unable to intervene in the world in which Israel exists. The second blessing of the Amida regarding the Divine Might, therefore, begins with the words:
אַתָּה גִּבּור לְעולָם אֲדנָי. מְחַיֵּה מֵתִים אַתָּה רַב לְהושִׁיעַ
(Pronounced: Ata Gibor leolam Adonai. Mechae metim ata, rav leshoshia).
You are, a mighty warier, forever, Lord. You are the one who raises up the dead, you are great enough to save. Did you get a copy of "Hebrew Insights into Revelation (click here)" yet for you and your friends?
News: Those of you who were blessed by my teaching and writing, please, consider to support my ministry. This month I am raising funds for conference for Christian cleargy in Muslim Indonesia. Please, do so by clicking here (chose any amount to help).
In His firm grip,
Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg
