Life is tough...God knows that. He loves you ..all of us..His word tells us that. Paul sent many encouraging letters to churches that were undergoing some truly terrible persecutions. Their lives many times were at stake..and not just that, but deceivers insider their own churches. Their rights as Christians were solely limited..yet inspite of everything they went through God continued to love them. Today many of us do not face persecutions in the same way...but they are just as deadly because they can kill our spirit..our hope.

We live in a world where we are bombarded daily with temptations on all sides...things these first Christians didn't have to deal with. We have the TV, internet, magazines, radio that all promote sinful lifestyles. For some of us we cannot walk down our own streets without seeing drug houses, prostitutes..the most lost in this world. For some of us its too dangerous to walk down the street!

We hear constantly on the news about the horrors people do against each other...worse of all against children. It wounds us deeply like arrows piecing our hearts! The world in Paul's day was just as bad...history shows us that..and they also witness horrible abuses and immoral acts right in front of them too. It wounds and wears down the soul. We ache inside with grief and a urging to 'save everyone' from the wickedness in this world while at the same time struggling to not be caught in the snares of the evil one..

Let no one condemn you for God does not:

Romans 8 tells us:
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:


“ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
