After the mass this morning a Pinay showed me a clip of JesusÂ´face, based on the works of R. Downing, it showed a man really beaten black and blue but inspite of that he showed tranquility in his face.
Nangalibawot ang akong balhibo. So I started surfing on this. There are lots of news and pictures but I was not able to find the same picture again. I suppose this can be seen in a DVD about the whole research and work of Downing. I started this thread with a hope that somebody might get a glimpse of it.

Thanks Manay. Proper iconography of Christ the Savior having a beard is really substantiated considering it was custom for Jewish men at the time to done the bearded look. The Romans were the ones that fashioned a more clean-look appearance.
