John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

A homeless Good Samaritan who was ignored while lying, mortally wounded, on a New York City sidewalk will be honored at a wake.

The family of Hugo Alfredo Tale-Yax was holding services for the Guatemalan immigrant on Wednesday at a Brooklyn funeral home.

Police say Tale-Yax was stabbed while helping a woman being attacked.

He was found dead on April 18, after lying on a Queens sidewalk for nearly an hour. Some passersby paused and left; others kept walking.

One of his brothers, Byron Tale-Yax, says their actions send a message about humanity.

Police are still looking for the woman Tale-Yax rescued, and the man with whom she had fought.

No, instead i will call paramedic team to help that certain dying person. Helping a person who is critical situation that is too risky decision because once the dying person die at someone's position he/she is automatically liable for investigation by law enforcers regarding the death of that said person.

you have a valid point, Vistabel. But for those who do help , they are protected by the Good Samaritan Laws which are in effect in some states in the United States as well as in other countries.

The Good Samaritan Laws were implemented to reduce bystanders' hesitancy in taking action in cases of people suffering some kind of acute medical ailment for fear of legal action.

Is the Good Samaritan Law upheld in the Philippines? Perhaps we can get the legal expertise of some of the lawyers/law students here in Tubag Bohol Dot Com.

obligatory ang CPR dinhe kon magkuha ug drivers license, the person who taught us told me not to do it since I´m a small person and I can not help a German weighing 120 kilos since the difference of our lung volume is great.

Kinahanglan tabangan kay ang kinabuhi sa tawo bili-hon.

You present a valid and legitimate point, Manay Tess. In a hypothetical situation where you were in a street and the man next to you was having respiratory arrest, or some kind of acute attack, the best thing you could do would be calm him down while call for immediate medical help (here in the United States we have the 911 dispatch, im not too familiar with Germany's immediate medic dispatch, but the same would be upheld). Or perhaps call to attention someone next to you who has some kind of medical training / or certification of CPR.

It is an obligation to assist help especially in this case, failure to do so is punishable in German laws.

Manay, the person who told you that was being prejudiced on your height/ size. My sister is 4'11 and is less than 100 lbs and she is a 1st year medical student proper. She is trained in CPR as well as in EKGs and as a 1st year medical student can defibrilate a patient and other acute/emergency response maneuvers. Size and height does not matter, so long as the proper technique is being implemented.

She is more than capable and is trained in CPR on any individual, be they 6'foot to 7' foot. (or anyone who is properly trained in CPR, for that matter)

The purpose of CPR is to pump the heart particularly on the lower sternal region. The purpose of the CPR is not to break the ribs by shear force (which happens when some people who are not trained in CPR use excessive force).
There is a technique in CPR, even doctors and nurses who are physically small can accomplish this.

:)

I like the proactive agenda of Germany. Here in the United States, many people are scared of malpractice lawsuits.
