My favorite movie character is Indiana Jones from Raiders of the Lost Ark. He is such a great adventurer and has a super sense of humor. He knows what he wants and he goes after it without worrying about the consequences.

Maximus Decimus Meridius, played by Russel Crowe in 'Gladiator'.

Reasoning: He defeated Tigrus (gladiatorial champion), rallied the gladiators, and ultimately defeated and killed Commodus (emperor of Rome), and was liberated and set 'free' in death.

Great acting.
