Vistabel,
Correct ka. It is written in the Q'uran (and also is a hadith) that all women must shave and keep themselves clean; shaving and keeping the body clean is compulsory for women in Islam .
As for men, in Islam, it is prescribed that men grow a beard and keep it growing, and not be a like the Al-Qitab, who at the time, did not grow a beard. It is written in Surah 4:
The Prophet said, 'Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short.' Whenever Ibn 'Umar performed the Hajj or 'Umra, he used to hold his beard with his hand and cut whatever moustaches. Ibn Umar used to cut his moustache so short that the whiteness of his skin (above the upper lip) was visible, and he used to cut (the hair) between his moustaches and his beard.

The ones who are more strict are the Orthodox Jews. Women, in Judaism, are technically not even allowed to shave. It is forbidden in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible).

The most liberated of all the Abrahamic faiths, in my honest opinion, are the Christians. There are no compulsory actions/ mandates that must be followed. Judaism and Islam, regarding the laws that are to be followed in the day-to-day living, have an abundance of such.
