when i was in Grade 4, i was a big fan of Lotlot de Leon (me so baduy!).. so my classmates started calling me Balot.. and up until now, my classmates call me Balot.... although the history is so baduy but i like it. i know if a person calls me Balot, that person is my lifetime friend.
how touching.
When I was in high school, i was very introverted (despite being active in sports). So i would always get teased by girls on not talking etc etc, in my opinion, being silent attracted the attention of women.
Most of my good friends, one who graduated valedictorian, and the other graduated salutatorian, were both unpopular in high school. The popular kids teased them of being too smart/ bookish. Okay lang. Because it was the bookish ones that were esteemed in acceptance to Ivy League colleges/universities. The two of them were enrolled with me in the Engineering Program.
Point: Esteem and honor is given not by popularity, but by precedence and academic ability, not by who you know. Fact.
