Bran, naa man gud sa akong huna2x nga the same lahi man gani dli magsabtanay, unsa na kaha og maka-bana ka og foreigner... maglisod gani ko sabot sa kultura natong mga Pinoy, how much more sa culture sa uban
You do have a point, Anna. I understand your view point. When I was in college, I dated mostly White women only because i didn't find any pinays (there are so very few in my college!). I had my share of serious relationships with women of different races and cultures, but in my mind, i had always wanted to date a Filipina. I did not date Filipina or try Filipina until I met my gf , who i had met in my 2nd year of medical school. I fell in love with her from day one. There really is something different , unique about pinay. I guess it helped in the fact that her parents were also immigrants like mine, that we both were from the visayas (taga bohol ko, taga iloilo sija), we both have very strong personalities and driven to succeed in studies. But there is something deeper -- her religion, her faith, her loving qualities, my goodness when she loves, she truly does love. I guess its a Filipina quality that when they open up to a man, they truly open their entire heart and the overwhelming support, adoration, respect they give is nothing short of God's blessings! I guess that's why a lot of foreign men like to marry Filipinas.
Don't get me wrong, there are times that i clash with my gf, we are so alike and so hard headed that it is inevetible to have two very head strong people clash. but when we argue, it is only for a short while. She has a way about her , i can't explain it, that can soften my heart.
She just says to me , "Toto...akig ka sa akon? Indi mo ba palangga ko sa imo?"
Na, ma wa na gajod ahoang ikapasuko. Gone. She has that effect on me.
For me, personal opinion lang ni nako ha, i am open to mixed relationships. There are very many beautiful and wonderful and loving white women, latina women and black women out there. But i find myself more at home and can relate to my babycakes more. It's interesting really. Blood smells blood.
