YES. Among silingan sauna nga dihay TB.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Domingo to sa buntag. Gikan mi mitambong sa kasaulugan sa pulong kay wa may pari atong panahona. Natinga ko pag-uli namo nagminatay naman ug hilak ang among silingan. Mao na diay to. Nagtinga na intawon si Anhing Yo Rey (rest in peace). Kanang mo ginhawa for the last time nga arang ka lawom.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sa dihang nagpinal na tong among Lola (Lola maoy tawag namo kay sija may nag-atiman namo pagka bata namo). Pero kani dili ni lola biologically. Wa jud mi nija pakit-a nga mamatay sija. Gipanawag sa mi nija tanan ug gikaistory. Sa dihang nahuman ug istorya, mihigda sija ug miingon nga palakwon sa mi nija kay matug na sija. Pagtalikod ra gajud namatay na sija dajon. Rest in peace Lola Berta. I miss you all the time!

Brod Vince,

When a person dies, all the senses fade. The last of the senses to fade is the sense of hearing. It is said that the sense of hearing is still present some 5 minutes after death. If you had talked to your Lola Berta within that 5 minute period, she most probably heard you and the relatives around her.

That is why when a person dies, it is good to talk to them immediately after death. Because they can still hear  you. They can still hear you some 5-10 minutes after their moment of physical death. After 10 minutes, wala na.

Eternal silence.

Oh! Mao diay siguro ni basis sa kanang giingon nila sa Tagalog nga BULONG. Nga after death kono kung makahunghong dajon kas namatay ug wish nimo, mahatag kono nas minatay.

As for my Lola Berta, kahibawo na sija kung unsa sija namo kamahal bisan pa tuod dili sija namo blood relative. More than pa sija sa usa ka pamilya.

We miss her specially sa ahong Manang karon nga naa sa kumbento. Usahay magkaistorya mi bahin ni Lola Berta. ;D

after shouting for the doctor, the next thing i knew was that i was holding prayer booklets for the dying, shaking and praying all i can by the bedside.

i'm still amazed over why it had to be me who had to close my father's eyes with my own hands.  he must have heard my prayer offering, and i am glad.

The sweet sound of his daughter's voice that ushered his soul a sense of peace before his soul entered into life everlasting. The last sound your father heard before he left this world, my dear Isles, was the sound of your voice. Know that it gave him comfort and spiritual strength before he was called to the judgment seat of Christ.

May God bless you.

During an over-night shift, I had cared for a hospice patient. She was dying of renal failure. She had very kind and comforting eyes. When i was making my rounds and checking her vitals and her pain, as I was adjusting her morphine levels, she touched my arm then tugged on my white coat. She said to me in a very raspy and faded voice, "Can you pray with me?"

So i did. I sat next to her. She took out her rosary and together we prayed. She thanked me, i looked at her and said, "You take care of yourself, okay?" I smiled and she smiled back at me.

Couple of hours later, i checked on her, and found the nurses turning off her ekg monitor. She had passed. I remember looking at her, her eyes were closed, and her face looked as if she was in peace. No more pain.

She was still holding the rosary in her hand.
