I was thinking about this all week. I was wondering if any of you fellow members of Tubag Bohol considered adopting a child? I know for myself, I personally want to have my own children, but I am also open to adopting a child who is in need. What are your views?

Hi Pare, a noble-minded idea. It is really great at your age getting such consideration. You have time, you're still very young.
In our area, this is a matter of years processed and high investments of money and time needed.
My husband and I instead of adopting a child, we just supported one from the World Vision Org., she is beautiful seven years old
girl from Leyte in which we will visit on Dec. 28, 2007 as scheduled. For a one day get-to-know meeting, the organization needs
lot of important Police clearances and other details. We are excited to meet my Family, Tresha, the cute girl in Leyte with her Fam., and most of all the Christmas gifts of surprises (TB friends sa Dec. EB).

You are very kind and generous to do that, Pare! Bless your kind heart! But yes I am considering adopting a child in the future as well as having my own children because there are so many children out there who are in need of health care, education, and emotional, moral and physical support that only a family can offer. I am open to the idea simply because it is best to give than to recieve. If we give, we will be rewarded 10 fold. That is my view.

Dong, you can always adopt a child or just support a child para sa iyang school sa Philippines.
Naa koy kaila nga naay ina-dopt, shes young too, as young a s you siguro dong. Since birth pa niya gi-adopt ang bata, karon dako dako na daw. Kalimot lang ko kung pilay edad sa bata ron.

I've been thinking about that too,

maybe in the future kung maka afford nako magpa dako ug bata,

but for sure, it would be a child nga kadugo ra nako,

kay daghan ko'g mga parente nga mga pobreng uyamot intawon...

Aside having three kiddies at home,I still want to adopt another child or children if I only can afford..The more kids in your home,the merrier.I love kids..

For me, I really want a big family. I want at least 4 children. 3 boys and 1 girl, 2 boys or 2 girls, 1 boy or 3 girl. So long as I have one boy. LoL! I want to adopt a white baby, aside from having my own children. If my Lolo can have 7 children and my great great Lolo can have 15 children..then there is no reason why I can't have 4. hahaha!

I agree with Ms. Orchids. "The more, the merrier."
