Do you view love as an emotional feeling or a duty?

Linkback: https://tubagbohol.mikeligalig.com/index.php?topic=19764.0
John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Love is a constant force. Love is in me, is in you, is around us. Love is in all and works through all.

God Is Love. :)

"God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them."
1 John 4:16

it's a feeling. if you think it's duty, then dili na love. practicality na.

Love is foremost a feeling, why duty? Is it stated in the constitution?

Love is a many splendor things.. ::)

Love is a duty as the Bible said to love thy neighbor
not lust or sexual desires kind of love it
means not to make him/her your enemy

Love is an emotional feeling that just burst from
nowhere like the mushroom in your yard after a heavy
  storm.  hahahhahah
para ra ni sa mga singles and young at heart

But the greatest love I have is for the Lord above
  anybody or anything else.

Love is an emotional feeling and most of those who are long time married exercising that so-called "Marriage sex duty", as often heard.  ;D

Of course love is feeling (as Mr. Lennon says), not duty, not commitment. The best of marriages are based on love, but couples don't stay married because of love alone (neither do they separate for the lack of it alone). Marriage may be seen as both an expression of love and the sealing of what is planned as a long-term (or lifetime, if you will) commitment. After all, love is not all there is to life; such big words as dignity, responsibility, and commitment are in fact real, and they (and a host of many others) play important roles in defining the lives that we choose to live. I subscribe to the romantic notion that love conquers all, but at the same time I am well aware that the metaphor of conquest is out of place in the world we live in now. I would rather think of love not as a conqueror but as a first among equals among the other intangibles that flit about like fireflies in the dark nights of our souls.

for me love is a mental attitude matter, there two categories of love: personal love and impersonal love, i use personal love for my husband and my kids and especially to my Savior(LJC), i use impersonal love for all mankind(friends and enemies). personal love can only happen when you know the object of your love.

Para naho both, emotion ang duty.

Emotion becuase you feel it.

Duty kay may commitment ka. Sakto ba?

love calls for duty to make it to their destiny
