the internet, or cyberspace, is a real world as our globalized world of interconnectedness is real. traversing the internet highway is like traversing a highway as we know it. pilgrims that we are, we learn from our travels. along the way, we may meet strangers who may or may not become our friends.
this cyber highway may sooth the lonely, needy, and bored as the miles and miles of roads we trek or drive on may do, but neither exists to sooth and neither is imaginary.
You remind me of Marianne Moore, Ms. Isle, who famously described the task of poetry as providing "imaginary gardens with real toads in them".
How appropriate for this thread! Sakto jamo! Imaginary ang lim-aw pero real ang frog! Bwahaha!
