I used to be an avid fanatic of Kurosawa's Films. Then I expanded my tastes in European film: German, Swedish, French and of course, Spanish.

Amelie, is my favorite French foreign film.

Nice choices here.

Go to Blockbuster and pick out the following (am sure you'll like it)

1. Cuckoo (romantic film based on WWII era)
2. Amelie (French classic)

all the films i watch are foreign, most of them as a matter of course are from hollywood.  i regret that i've totally lost interest in our local film productions after the golden decade of films of the 1970s.  (some european films who don't make it as world blockbusters are truly good, such as those from the czech republic.)

its because you are too smart for those drama-drama and cry-cry, no nonesense local films. I am even too choosy of hollywood films Miss Isles, they are too fake to me. I would rather watch History, Discovery and NatGeo Channels than those. ;D

Actually, importante ra ni sila as among the first sexually-explicit films (late 60s). Shocking ni kaniadto pero mild ra baya kaayo ang pornography...

thanks for thinking me smart, hehe.  (ssshhhh, secret.  i only pretend to be smart.  meow like louie.)  but yes, your choices are interesting.  i must say though that i stopped watching natgeo after i watched an episode when a lion ate a live zebra.  did i cry and miss my dinner after that!  nothing of that sort for me again, ever.
