Nagkalain-lain ang mga paagi of salvation sa mga major religions.
Christian : Believe that Jesus died on the cross for our salvation and to follow his deeds & teachings.
Muslim: Believe in one God which is the God of Abraham & practice the 5 pillars. Murag pareha ni sila sa Christians, ang naka deperensya si Jesus is only a prophet and not the Son of God.
Jews: Believe in the Prophets of God like Abraham, Moses, David...etc. Pero dili ni sila motoo ni Jesus.
Hindu : Live ethically with all creatures so you will stop reincarnating when you die and live in Peace with the universe.
Budhist: Murag mao ra ni sa Hinduism kay si Lord Budha is hindu nga milayas paingon sa China.
So for me as Christian, wala koy katungod nga mo judge sa uban nga religion nga sayop sila. Likewise, wala pod silay katungod nga mo ingon nga sayop ang akong religion.
In my opinion, all religions have a glimpse of The Truth.
Its rather interesting to read about different religions and get a glimpse of what salvation means in their religion, and the process of getting to it.
Personally for me, as a minor in Religious Studies back in undergraduate years, I put great emphasis in studying the JCI faiths (Judeo-Christianity-Islam). The three faiths are ideally the same, albeit having one clear difference in salvation history.
The Jews believe in a physical messiah, a king that was promised to them, similar to that of David, who would rule over Jerusalem over the mount of Zion. They still, to this day, wait for the coming of the Messiah.
The Muslims believe in all of the Abrahamic-based prophets. The only main difference is that whereas in Judeo-Christianity, Abraham offered his son Isaac as sacrifice to show his faith in God. Whereas in Islam, the prophet Ibrahim (arabic version of Abraham) offered his son Ishmail. In Judeo-Christianity, that is not possible, since Ishmael (ishmai) was the son of Abraham and the maid-servant of his wife Sarah. Ishamael and his mother Rahab were sent away after the birth of Isaac, who was promised by the Angel of God. The major difference is that the Muslims believe that Jesus (Issa) was not the Son of God, but a prophet, and that Muhammad was a prophet of God.
Christians, believe everything that the Jews believe; OLD TESTAMENT is reiteration of the Talmudic Text. The only difference is that we believe that Christ Jesus was the Seal of the Prophets. Salvation On High. We believe that Jesus Christ is the WORD MADE FLESH. God In The Flesh. Essential to our faith is the believe in Jesus Christ being DIVINE. Inseparable and in one with the Father. Through Him and the Father, proceeds the Holy Spirit. And that there is no other name in Heaven to which we shall be saved BUT in JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.
