That and ginamos. hehe.

Ingon ahong mga amigo nga inchik that 'the best chinese food are the ones you eat in local markets' tinood ba ning statement, Bai Bugsay?
Mo believe ko nimo about fresh veggies and fruits kai even diri sa market places sa South Jersey..most of the warehouses are Chinese-owned.
They really are into exotic plants, fresh fruits, fresh veggies, and soup-based products.

I would like to visit China (the rural area) and try the things there. Testing-Testing ra lang.

haha mao ba? I know lang sa una--when i visited Phils in 1998, we went to the mercado to buy fresh (prisko kaajo) small fish (i forget the Filipino name) that one uses in kinilaw. My grandfather prepared it for us--he added onions, tomatoes, ginger, vinegar, and other sauces with it. Lami kaajo.

And at night we would go to Badjang and order a large Swordfish and have it cooked sinugbang style. The rice we ate was our home-growned rice from my grandfather's basaks. Lahi jud ang rice sa Valencia kai lami...

I compared it to the rice grown here in the 'states...lahi ra jud. Philippine Rice is one of the best..and the best is in Bohol. :)

hahaha. i divide na lang 1/2 of time in mercado and 1/2 of the time in restaurants.
Gusto ko mo bisita sa Guangzhong, China. Ingon man to ahong Lola that we still have relatives living there--kai my great-grandfather was from Guangzhong (ning immigrate sa Pilipinas). Ingon to si Lola Babing (my grand-aunt) that when my Lolo Mariano was still alive, hilig kono to siya mo cook ug noodles, ug sabaw. Mo luto kono to siya ug duck pood.

Ingon pood si Lola Babing that mo ininchik kono to si Lolo. He spoke in Cantonese. :)
When he spoke bisaya, he had a very strong inchik accent kono. hehehe. i can just imagine him.

Ug mo adto ko sa Guangzhong, gusto ko mo kaon as how he would have eaten like pood. Kanang dili pa fancy-fancy. I want to try everything--pero most of all the real experience.

~~

I hope lang maka adto ko sa China pohon.
