China to Invest $27 Billion for Safe Drinking Water
« on: June 29, 2012, 04:39:26 PM »
China will invest 175 billion yuan (27.5 billion U.S. dollars) from 2011 to 2015 to ensure the quality of drinking water in rural areas, a vice minister of water resources said Friday.

Li Guoying, the vice minister, made the remarks at the bi-monthly session of the National People's Congress Standing Committee that runs from Tuesday to Saturday.

The investment will be supported by both central and local finance channels as well as the farmers who stand to benefit from the policy, Li said.

He added 68 percent of the total investment, or 118.8 billion yuan, will be provided by the central government. - PNA

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
