Eleven outstanding women entrepreneurs from China, Singapore and Malaysia will share their views on the latest trends and economic development at the Malaysia-China-Asia Pacific Women's Economic Summit.
Its organizing chairperson, Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, said the summit would offer the opportunity of the century to learn business tips and tricks from successful women entrepreneurs.
"This event is also a call to women to step forward to achieve their personal successes as they are also a driving force behind today's rapid social development," she told a media briefing on the summit here Tuesday.
The summit, which will be held from March 4-6, 2011, is organized by the Malaysia-China Friendship Association and the Malaysian-China Culture and Art Association and themed '100 years in Retrospect, Women Continue to Drive Progress'.
It is endorsed by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development and the China-Asean Association
Chew said one of the speakers would be Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Idris Jala.
"Idris is the main man behind the Economic Transformation Program and he will share with us the women's role in the program," she said.
A gala dinner will be held on March 4 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Women's Day. - source: PNA
