Small companies create 85% of new jobs in the EU

Between 2002 and 2010, small and medium sized companies made an important contribution to the net creation of jobs, says study. SMEs were hit hard by the crisis in 2009 and 2010 however, with the number of jobs decreasing 2.4% a year on average.
