Stock market scam points to EstradaPublished January 10, 2001 - Bohol Chronicle
A former chief of the Presidential Security Commission testified yesterday during the on-going impeachment trial.
In his testimony, Ruben Almandro, former chief of the compliance and surveillance group of the PSC , said the President knew of an attempted bribery to end the probe of alleged scam at the stock market.
Almandro said Pres. Estrada summoned him to a meeting in Malacanang in February last year.
The President said that Tan could not have been involved in the scam. He said money had already been offered to the former PSC chair Perfecto Yasay, to settle the issue.
