Robbers cart P50,000 jewelry from government employee
KIDAPAWAN CITY, Oct. 1 2002 (PNA) - Thieves spirited away some P50,000
worth of jewelry items from the residence of a government employee in
a daring daylight robbery along Lumban Subdivision here Monday.
Supt. Casimiro Medes, Kidapawan City police chief, said the robbers
gained access inside the house of city employee Winston Mariscal by
breaking the window panes.
The suspects rummaged the chest containing Mariscal's jewelry items
and fled passing through the window of the victim's room, Medes
said.
Nobody was inside the victim's home when the heist occured.
Mariscal, airing an appeal over radio DXND here, called on the
jewelry shops in the city and neighboring towns to inform the police
in case suspicious-looking individuals would sell or pawn jewelry
items of doubtful origin. (PNA)
