CSC-13 updates database on public sector unions

Butuan City (4 July 2005) -- To strengthen the good governance thrust of President Arroyo, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Caraga Region is presently updating its database on public sector unions.
The CSC is now gathering information regarding existing unions or associations in all government agencies and offices. Such information include if said organization has been duly registered with the Bureau of Labor Relation under the Department of Labor and Employment (BLR-DOLE) and accredited by the Civil Service Commission (CSC). This accreditation will give these groups official recognition.
The commission also require those data to determine the number of existing registered and accredited unions or association of government agencies or offices within Caraga. (PIA-13)
