Prices of basic goods stable – DTI

MAASIN CITY (23 June 2005) -- The Department of Trade and Industry has ascertained that prices of basic commodities remained stable despite fears of spiraling costs of consumer goods.

Michael Nuñez, DTI Provincial Director, revealed during the KAABAG Cable TV program last week that in their monthly monitoring over the past five months since January, this year, the average slight rise in prices was only P2.25, well below the 10% increase allowed by law.

Nuñez urged the consuming public to ask original receipts everytime they buy something at stores, so the OR can be compared for any substantial price increase in the next month.

The OR can also be used as a proof of purchase for any complaints on the goods bought, aside from being a big help in the government’s tax collection system, Nuñez added. (PIA-So.Leyte)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
