Police arrest 6 persons for illegal drugs use and sale

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Oct. 1 2002 (PNA) -- Police operatives here
arrested six persons and seized two kilograms of cocaine and 64 grams
of shabu during separate buy-bust and regular operations since Januar
this year.
Senior Supt. Ricardo Padilla, Cagayan provincial police
director identified the suspects as Napoleon Co, Edmundo Co y
Lacuanan and Natudio Ringor, all of Ballesteros town; Grendord Baje
of Gonzaga; Mano Pedronan y Baloloy of Calayan; and Jamael Disimban y
Apuan of Buguey town, all of Cagayan.
Napoleon was arrested at his residence at barangay Mabuttal in
Ballesteros by virtue of a search warrant. Confiscated from him were
12 grams of shabu contained in a heat-sealed sachet and shabu
paraphernalia.
Ringor who was included in the watchlist of the barangay
anti-drug abuse council (BADAC) was arrested in a buy-bust operation
at a hotel in this city. Confiscated from him were 15 grams of shabu
and shabu paraphernalia.
Baje was likewise arrested in a buy-bust operation at barangay
Centro in Sta. Teresita. Taken from him was one kilogram of
cocaine.
A kilogram of cocaine and two pieces of marked money were also
confiscated from Pedronan in a buy-bust operation in Calayan, while
12 grams of shabu and shabu paraphernalia were taken from Edmundo Co
after his residence in Ballesteros was searched.
At least 25 grams of shabu were also confiscated from the
possession of Disimban in a buy-bust operation in Buguey.
Meanwhile, elements of the Sta. Ana police station led by
Senior Insp. Jeremias Aglugub recovered some 2,235 grams of cocaine
at barangay Sta. Cruz.
Two fishermen identified as Jovito Onate and Medrano Abad, both
of Camiguin Island in Calayan, turned over two boxes containing one
kilogram of high grade cocaine to Insp. De Laza, chief of police of
the said town.
De Laza was then leading a sea-borne patrol in the area when
they spotted the fishermen.
