PLDT pleads with Davao on tax bills pays P16.2-M to avoid closure
DAVAO CITY, Oct. 3, 2003 (PNA)--The Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) company has asked the city government for an abatement and waiver of penalties and surcharges of its franchise taxes. Mario Encarnacion, PLDT vice president for Mindanao Business District, also asked the City Legal Office to elevate the firm's request to the city council.
