“Inside job” seen on the Uni-Top hold-up
Published: December 31, 2006 by The Bohol Standard

Early intelligence reports coming from the city police point to a possible inside job resulting to the hold-up robbery of the cash deposit of the retail store Uni-Top, located at CPG avenue this city.

The store lost an estimated P500,000 cash Thursday as three motorcycle-riding hold-uppers accosted the cashier walking towards the First Consolidated Bank branch at the ground floor of the Metro Center building also at CPG avenue, about 200 meters from Uni-Top.

Security guard Dalmacio Casimsiman, 22 years old, of the Cordial Security Agency was fatally shot on the spot and died later at the hospital.

Cashier Rufa Balingit was also slightly wounded as the suspects fired shots before fleeing on board a waiting motorcycle.

The heist was made on broad daylight, at about 11 o’clock in the morning of December 28, Innocents Day and along a busy main street in the city.

Investigations are now focused on the circumstances why the cashier decided to bring the cash for deposit on foot, diverting from the usual practice of using an armored vehicle that is provided by the security agency.

Records from the Uni-Top cashier’s entry revealed that deposits from Dec. 23, 24 and 25 were deposited to the same bank using an armored vehicle. On the day of the hold-up robbery, a huge cash amounting to close to half a million pesos was brought to the bank by foot with one security guard providing escort.

Police investigators are close on the tracks of local boys that were believed acting as contacts of the robbery hold-up group.

A witness told the police he was able to identify one of the three suspects riding on the motorbike fleeing after the heist.

The police vowed to crack on the identities of the suspects earlier.

This month, two big stores were ransacked while another gasoline station was held-up also on broad daylight.

The police have failed to come up with a single suspect on these series of robberies hitting the city the past weeks.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
