Calabarzon RDC guests at Radyo ng Bayan

MANILA (24 June 2005) -- The CALABARZON (Region IV-A), which is composed of the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon, is the emerging economic hub in the Philippines.
Speaking at Radyo Serbisyo program aired today over DZRB-Radio ng Bayan, with the theme "RDC: Tungo sa Kaunlaran ng mga Rehiyon" Chairman Richard Albert Osmond, private sector representative and Chairman of the Regional Development Council-CALABARZON (RDC-CALABARZON) said the region is an ideal economic hub due to its proximity to Metro Manila, low labor cost, infrastructures and business-friendly environment, aside from its tourism potentials.
He pointed out that, CALABARZON is the second region to National Capital Region (NCR) which greatly contributes to the economy of the country.

Osmond noted that industrial zones, factories and some multi-national companies production plants are located in the region which boosts its fast improving economy.

"We want to maintain our status as the country's premiere investment region" he added.
Osmond also said that RDC main thrust is to give direction to the region with regard to it's economic development thrust under the Philippine Medium-Term Development Plan (PMTDP).

He called on the people of CALABARZON to continuously focus on economic activities towards sustainable economic growth amidst the political bickerings happening in nearby Metro Manila.
Radio Serbisyo is a program of the Philippine Information Agency-Mega Manila Information Office (PIA-MMIO) aired every Friday (12:15 to 2:00 P.M) over Radyo ng Bayan (738 khz) and hosted by Allan Allianigue, Mely Tenorio and PIA-Assistant Director General Riza Baldoria. (PIA-MMIO)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
