Effective classroom instruction and learning outcomes
« on: April 21, 2013, 06:12:16 AM »
DepEd Secretary Jesli A. Lapus today reiterated DepEd’s thrust to implement a strategy that integrates IT with basic education in pursuing better and effective classroom instruction and learning outcomes as he inaugurated the STI’s mobile classroom.

“As we look at the assortment of opportunities for public education, opportunities brought about by the new technologies of our times and opportunities brought about by the unprecedented interest of the private sector in supporting our public schools, we remain steadfast in our conviction that there is hope for our schools and hope for all young Filipinos who will study in these schools”, Secretary Lapus remarked during the unveiling ceremony of a mobile classroom project of the STI Foundation for Leadership in Information Technology and Education, held at the DepEd Central Office in Pasig City.
The mobile classroom is part of STI Foundation’s “Driving Education Where IT Matters” project which gives students and youth belonging to disadvantaged sectors access to education and IT opportunities.

While extolling the merits of the STI Foundation’s thrust for ensuring equal opportunities, Lapus also lauded the partnership forged between DepEd and the Foundation in line with DepEd’s Adopt-a-School Program.

“This Mobile School represents the best in corporate social responsibility. For not only does it represent the commitment of STI Foundation to the cause of public education, it too represents the innovation and creativity that we attribute to the private sector, the innovation and creativity that can really do wonders for our public school system”, Lapus said.
Lapus also underscored the benefits of technology and making education more relevant for the youth through the STI’s Mobile School.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
