COTABATO CITY, Sept. 11, 2000 (PIA-12) -- Commuting public making use of commercial watercraft facilities will only be spending more than 2 hours instead of the usual more than 6 hours travel from Cotabato City to Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat province and vice versa.

The Southern Philippines Trans-Marine Services Cooperative (SPTSC) owner of M/L Ammerlyne I said their fast craft will now lessen the period of time being spent by other commercial water vessels plying said route.

The fast track was purchased in Japan by SPTSC by 12 million pesos. It is officially registered to ferry 97 passengers with light baggages. Cargoes are not allowed since the vessel is classified as "luxury" vessel.

In a press conference arranged by the Department of Tourism Region XII, SSTC Chairman Manuel Lontok said the fare to this air-conditioned vessel is 390 pesos.

The fast craft which docked at the Cotabato City wharf after its maiden trip from Kalamansig early Saturday morning was boarded by Sultan Kudarat Governor Datu Pax Mangudadatu and officials of GEM, SPTSC, local government officials, and media practitioners to see for themselves the real picture of the vessel.

Mangodadatu promised to closely coordinate with mayors of the coastal towns of Palembang, Lebak and Kalamansig for the safety of the vessel and its passengers while cruising along the said areas. The management of the vessel looks forward to acquire more fast crafts in the future.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
