Acting Ombudsman Casimiro orders DO Gonzalez III from perfoming function as DO for MOLEO

Acting Ombudsman Orlando C. Casimiro yesterday directed Deputy Ombudsman Emilio A. Gonzalez III to “cease and desist from performing official and administrative functions at the Office of the Deputy Ombudsman for the Military and Other law Enforcement Offices.”

          This is contained in the Implementation Order dated 12 May 2011 sent by Acting Ombudsman Casimiro to Deputy Gonzalez yesterday. A copy of the same Order was transmitted to the Office of the President (OP) this morning (13 May 2011).

          The Order was sent by Acting Ombudsman Casimiro following receipt yesterday of a Memorandum issued by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa, Jr., directing the former to immediately implement the OP decision dismissing Deputy Gonzalez from the service in connection with the Rizal Park hostage-taking incident.

          Acting Ombudsman Casimiro was also directed to inform the OP within twenty-four (24) hours of the actions undertaken on the said case.
