June 1, 1998 - Philippine Daily Inquirer

LEGAZPI CITY--Four persons died and 19 others were injured when two buses collided early yesterday along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Bonifacio, San Fernando, Camarines Sur.

This is the second road accident along the Maharlika Highway in a week. Four persons died in the earlier accident.

Two of the dead victims were taken to Funeraria Imperial in Naga City. A funeral home employee contacted over the phone identified them as Josephine Septo Dolina, 25, and Mervin Villanueva, 2.

The two other fatalities were taken to St. Vincent funeral home in Milaor, Camarines Sur, the same employee told the Inquirer.

Fifteen of the injured were taken to the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City and four to St. John Hospital.

Among the injured are Santos Salvador, driver of the Philtranco bus with body number 827, and Rogelio Amisola, driver of the Peñafrancia Tours bus.

The other injured passengers are: Jocelyn Buere, Judith Soliman, Zenith Avila, Marcelina Avila, Marife Aringo, Jay-Ar Supiciercia, Endelita Fuliado, Severino de la Cruz, Bienvenido de la Cruz, Adelaida de la Cruz, Anthony de la Cruz, Roger Belmas, Romy Tayo, Eufelalia Peralta and Marilyn Marfil.

Most of the injured were passengers of the Philtranco bus.

Bombo Radyo in Naga City reported that the Philtranco bus had already reached Naga City when it returned to San Fernando to get a cargo shipment.

On its way there, it collided with a Peñafrancia Tours bus coming from Manila.

The Philtranco bus also smashed into the house of Barangay Bonifacio chair Evelyn Salazar. No one was reported hurt in the Salazar household.

In the first road accident, four persons died and six others were seriously injured when a BLTB bus rammed a big talisay tree in Barangay Sigamot, Libmanan, Camarines Sur, early Wednesday.

Police identified three of the fatalities as Lilibeth Villasis, her daughter Lisa Ruth, 5, and Luz Marquez, 50. Floreño G. Solmirano, PDI Southern Luzon Bureau

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
