To All Andahanons and Generous TB Members,

Am appealing everyone to donate books and magazines ( old and/or new ) to the Holy Infant Academy, Anda, Bohol ( high school ) library.

Kon duna moy mga libro or magazines (any type) nga wala ninyo gamita or diba nanobra sa inyong collection, I would appreciate on behalf of the school nga i-donate ninyo. Dako gyod kini ug tabang in enhancing the education of the less priveleged students in this part of the world.

Pwede ninyo i-address ang inyong donation directly to the School Director or Principal.

Being the 1st Alumni President of the high school where our TB Admin ( Mike Ligalig ) and myself had graduated... am calling all those with benevolent hearts to share or take a part in this endeavor.

Examples of books which are helpful are Dictionaries, Thesaurus, Encyclopedia, and all other Reference Books.

Grazie, maayo unta kon daghan malumoy nga kasingkasing nga moduyog aning panawagan.

Looy man god hunahunaon ang mga pobre nga estudyante nga dili maka afford ug palit sa ilang kaugalingon nga mga gamit. Ang mga nabilin karon nga mangis eskewala sa mga kalungsuran kadto tawon nga dili pa maka afford mo schooling sa siyudad.

Unya ang capabilities sa atong mga school to buy new facilities and learning materials dili mafocus kay unsa god ang revenue magenerate... gamay ra sad, unya bahin bahin sad sa other priorities.

I just hope that many of us here could listen and extend a helping hand.

I donated tons of novels/pocketbooks late last year but I still have some and lots of magazines that I keep. I would give some of my books up if people can make use of them. The only problem is that it's so costly to send these books there.

Jun, yes, there is LBC. Sige lang Jun, mangita ko ways mag generate ug fund for the shipment. Maulaw ko I can't pay this myself but I have a sister and her kids man gud who badly needs help right now so didto jud nko pilion whatever little money I have. Sige lang Jun, I will find away. Basta, rest assured that I am with you in this endeavor, Jun! Mao ni akong project for my birthday.

Kanang among auntie sa Cagayan de Oro, when I was living with them part of my almost 10 years in CDO, gina train na nya mga anak nya to choose sa ilang birthday: mag party mo with friends or magpakaon sa Orphanage or Boys' Town or sa Street Kids? So through that, naka idea ko to have a project sa akong birthday. Sa una, magpakaon ko sa Muntinlupa or kong nihit jud money, magpapalit ko'g bugas ni Mommy ipang bahin2x sa among kasilinginan. This time, since medyo nihit jud ang money, I want your Book Drive as my birthday project. Sana naay mo support lain aron ma successful ni na project.

Nagpasalamat kog dako nga mahimong malamposon ang atong proyekto because of concerted / cohesive efforts... lisod man god kon mag-inusara ta unless we got all the resources (kon adunahan ta). Kon atong bugkoson ang atong mga capabilities, it is with certainty that we could achieve our goals... sama aning Library (materials project)..

I feel sad to reflect nga kadtong dili maka-afford nga moeskwela sa mga universidad o city schools which are equipped with facilities dili gyod katilaw samtang bata pa.

Karon ang mga batan-on nga completo ug gamit would excel gyod in school compared from those coming from the countryside without any. I just remember that when I went to college at the USC thru scholarship medyo I was not so competitive with those coming from the exclusive schools because molding a student at a younger stage is very essential in ones upbringing and exposure to the surroundings, environment and so on. Though some are gifted but providing them the basic needs is the best solution... Hence, this library project prevails.

These types of books are very helpful to the students....would serve as reference books though these are not of their curriculum...

On the address, it is on the earlier post... however, July would not be late...the campaign would continue throughout the year... and for books that would come after this school year could be used in the next school opening and onward...

HIA alumni sad ko pero dia nko sa Miami,FL. Last year pako naghunahuna na magcollecta ug mga books. Fortunately, ako bana is science teacher major biology and Earthspace. Sa iya nga school daghan sila iglalabay na mga books ako giingnan ako bana nga akong kuliktahon tanan matod pa nija dili nja makaya ug dala mga books bisan kuno ug motabang ko kay superlean man tawon ko. Mao nga kon naa ka mga kaila nga taga-anda nga dia diri sa Miami I would like to know their contact numbers aron maka-tabang sila nko pagkuha sa mga libro mag set lang mi ug time when kay mangayo pa ug permiso ako bana sa school nga magdala sya ug mga helper aron kuhaon ang mga books. Sayang kaajo kay sunogon ra nila if wala nay mo interest sa mga libro mga bag-o pa kasagaran halos la pay gamit naa pay mga CD-ROM along with it; teachers edition, student editions, etc. So please if you can email me. More so, could you estimate how much we could spend for the shipment? okay lang kon i-seafreight natin aron barato...Also, please check with your husband kon duna bay timetable na i-clear sa ilang premises ang mga books aron we could determine the time element of collecting funds for the shipment cost and for the labor in putting them in boxes.

Hello Jun,

I sent the three boxes of books and magazines on July 20. I sent it through our house in Manga because I put it in one big box which also contain a few items for my family. The three boxes for your School is properly labeled as for Holy Infant Academy, Anda. Mag ask ra ko'g help nimo unsaon pag forward sa Anda or di kaha ako na lang ipa sakay sa bus. Pamasahian na lang nko ang box para matarong jud. LBC told me na mo abot na to sa Manga in 30 to 45 days pohon. Nalipay lang ko nabuhat na nko akong gi commit.

By the way, I have a manifest of the books and magazines I sent. I can post it here.

Yesterday morning I had the opportunity to be with the school administration and students during the 4th Yr. Convocation Program and conveyed to them the vision I have for the school with your support... I was a bit emotional giving them in-depth of where I came from, the roots and the accomplishments. The School Director's invitation to speak was purely to give inspiration and encouragement to the students that poverty is not a hindrance...instilling to them that "the future is not something we travel to, we have to built it".
