According to UPI.com on Aug. 22, the sinkhole in Assumption Parish swampland continues to expand.
This huge sinkhole, which first opened up in August of last year, is being monitored by authorities as it continues to grow. It has been swallowing up land in Louisiana at such a fast rate that the sinkhole has now forced an entire town in Louisiana to evacuate.
